What is openindex-mcp?

A small, dependency-free index you fill with banner data from your own scans. An assistant can query it in a Shodan-like syntax and also look up certificate-transparency logs and DNS records, all without sending your scan data to an outside service. MIT licensed.

Before you add any community server

  • Hosted servers see whatever you send them. Check who runs it and what the sign-in can reach.
  • Servers that run on your computer can do what your user account can. Read the repository first.
  • Keep your app's “ask before each tool call” setting on until you trust it.
